Katie Holmes may be Tom Cruise's leading lady in real life, but if she's to be his leading lady on the big screen she's going to have to fight. Last week Lindsay Lohan let the news slip in a radio interview that she's very close to landing the part of the female lead in Mission Impossible: 3 after Scarlett Johansson had to drop out. Since the admission, it's been leaked that House of Wax star Elisha Cuthbert is also up for the role. But now Ananova reports that Katie has her eyes on the part herself. While it seems Tom would prove a pushover for his lady love, he may be wary of casting Katie opposite himself considering the flops that resulted from the Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez pairings. And don't count Lindsay out, she's proved time and time again that she's a scrappy girl who'll go to great extents to get what she wants. It will be interesting to see how this one turns out.
