Who dates first? Nick or Jessica

Jessica Simpson reportedly wants to get back into the dating scene.  Here she is leaving the Ivy. But according to a report she is waiting on estranged hubby Nick Lachey to be the first one to be spotted out with dating. According to National Ledger, "Who dates first? The architect of this master plan is reportedly papa Joe Simpson. 47-year old papa Joe is telling his 25-year old daughter to wait. The reason is that he allegedly researched fan sites and was shocked to discover that fans actually blame Jess for the breakup.

Now he doesn’t want her image damaged any further. “He’s afraid her fans will think she doesn’t give a damn about the split if she’s suddenly kissing some guy,” says one insider. A Jess’ rep gives a strong denial:  “She isn’t ready to date yet. It has nothing to do with Joe.” But an insider at the magazine dishes that Nick may be playing right into Joe’s plan. He's reportedly been seen with several women around LA in the past few weeks and was kissing and holding hands with a female recently at LA restaurant Koi. Says the spy, “You could tell they were very familiar with each other.”
