Pitt's Interview in Newsweek

New dad Brad Pitt has spoken out about his growing family for the first time; earlier this month his partner Angelina Jolie gave birth to Shiloh Nouvel in Namibia, they also have two adopted children Maddox and Zahara. After being named as one of 15 people who make America great by Newsweek magazine, Pitt spoke to the publication, telling its readers that since becoming a father he more motivation to speak out on issues such as child poverty.

According to MSN, Pitt said: "Whether you have them or adopt them, they're all blood," "And the funniest people I've ever met. "I look at Zahara and imagine what her life could have been. "You want to grab as many of these kids in your arms as you can. "They need our help, and we should be doing more."

He also explained his reasons for selling the first picture of Sholih to the highest bidder for charity, he said: "Knowing that someone was going to hound us for that first photo - and was going to profit immensely for doing it - I just couldn't live with it," "We were able to turn that around and collect millions for people who are really going to need it.”
