Tom and Katie's Weird Wedding to Take Place this Weekend!

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes arrived at Rome's Ciampino Airport on Monday with their daughter, Suri, nearly 7 months, and Cruise's children, 13-year-old daughter Isabella and 11-year-old son Connor, in tow. Upon arrival, the family alighted to the posh Hotel Hassler Roma, a five-star hotel located at the top of the Spanish Steps.

Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 27, will be married in Italy on November 18. Friends of the couple were notified in October to clear their schedules for the weekend of November 16 -19. Holmes’ wedding dress and Cruise's tux are being designed by Giorgio Armani.

If the wedding will be a Scientology ceremony — as has been reported — Tom Cruise will be told to provide future wife Katie Holmes with a "cat" and a "comb" during their scientologist wedding service next weekend. The vows for Scientology’s wedding ceremony refer to the groom only as a “man” while the bride is sometimes called a “girl,” notes the Web site, Secrets of Scientology. And some of the notions of marriage seem a bit retro. Quoting from the book “The Background Ministry, Ceremonies & Sermons of the Scientology Religion,” the site reports that the minister asks the bride: “And do you take/His fortune/At its prime and ebb/And seek/With him best fortune/For us all?/Do you?” The minister then tells the groom: “Now, (groom's name),/girls need clothes/And food and/Tender happiness and frills/A pan, a comb,/perhaps a cat/All caprice if you will/But still/They need them./Do you then/Provide?/Do you?”
