Anna Nicole & Howard: Inside their Private Hell

Sources reveal to Star that Anna Nicole Smith’s romance with attorney, Howard K. Stern was a complete sham. A source tells Star, “It was a love/hate relationship. Anna never wanted Howard as a romantic partner. She had no physical attraction to him, and behind the scenes she called him all sorts of names. But she didn’t want to lose him in a professional sense.” In reality Smith would have been better off losing him in all senses; Stern was unhealthily obsessed with her. On Feb 12, Jackie Hatten told CNN’s Larry King, “He was obsessed with her. He wanted somehow to be tied with her.”

Supposedly Anna spent most of their time together belittling him, calling him names, scolding him; she didn’t even allow him sleep in the same bed as her. Others believe Stern was the controlling partner in their corrupt companionship, keeping tabs on her every move; limiting her contact with family, friends and other men. A source claims, “Howard was forced to sleep on the couch because Anna was having noisy sex with one of the many lovers she brought into her home.”

One thing’s for sure – Howard failed to monitor her drug use. Sources say Howard was well aware of her drug abuse, and “Anna Nicole knew that he was catering to her addictions”. Aside from their unhealthy relationship, they lived in squalid conditions. “The L.A. house was filthy,” and their nanny in L.A. was fired for “not being able to locate the washing machine manual.”

The Anna Nicole saga continues, and other sources claim, “He eventually fell in love with Anna, but lusted after the power and fame that came with the relationship.” But his objections must be questioned; since Stern closed his law firm about five years ago, Anna has been “paying all of his bills”.

We’ll never know if Stern’s love for Anna was sincere, but we can be sure he’ll be very involved as the battle continues and the story unfolds!
