Tom Cruise believes in aliens.

The Hollywood star, who is engaged to actress Katie Holmes, has admitted he is convinced of the existence of extra terrestrials. He is quoted by German magazine Bild as saying: "Are you really so arrogant as to believe we are alone in this universe? Millions of stars, and we're supposed to be the only living creatures? No, there are many things out there we just don't know.". Tom's belief in alien life ties in with the Church of Scientology, of which he is a devout follower. The Church's founder, L. Ron Hubbard, claimed extra terrestrial beings were sent to planet Earth by intergalactic ruler Xenu, who then blew up the aliens with hydrogen bombs in a volcano. John Travolta's wife Kelly Preston, also a Scientologist, believes Tom made the remarks to highlight Scientology.
