Madonna Still Trying to Shock Us

To kick off her first world tour in four years, Madonna put on a crown of thorns, hung herself from a cross, and compared President Bush to Osama bin Laden.

  She sang her ballad Live to Tell while suspended from an enormous mirrored cross as, behind her, video screens showed images of third world poverty and grim stats like the 12 million children orphaned by AIDS in Africa. Later, during new song I Love New York, she deviated from the script to make a crude reference to Bush and oral sex.

This seems like a desperate attempt to stay controversial.
