Anna Nicole Died of a Drug Overdose, Sources Say

Anna Nicole Smith’s autopsy isn’t scheduled until later today, but sources say that evidence points toward a drug overdose. Numerous sources at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, are now coming forward, claiming that the 39-year-old former Playboy Playmate and Guess model appeared to be having a drug overdose shortly before her death.

“Anna looked extremely bloated when she vomited out something white before having a seizure early this afternoon,” a hotel employee tells Us. “The reaction was so violent that people in the hotel thought she had some tragic food poisoning. But we were told it was a drug overdose by the people who saw it.”

According to another hotel employee, Smith felt sick all week and had been experiencing headaches, stomachaches, nausea and flu-like symptoms, and may have been taking a drug for this. (A source told Access Hollywood that Smith had taken what was referred to as a "children's sedative," and had been “passing out” earlier that day.)

The scene was surreal at Memorial Regional Hospital, where Anna Nicole Smith was rushed via ambulance. According to a source, Smith was not completely covered when she arrived at the trauma/emergency entrance, but as she was wheeled in, ”the white sheet was then put completely over her body.” “It was total chaos here,” adds hospital pharmacy worker Arul Chegro. “Anna Nicole Smith was brought here, then pronounced dead. It is so sad, everyone here feels awful.” A doctor who works at Memorial tells Us that Smith’s death was “highly suspicious and being investigated.
