Jenna Fischer Breaks Her Back

Jenna Fischer (also known as Pam from the Office) has fractured four bones in her back Monday night after slipping on marble steps at Buddakan.

A friend said she spent the night in St. Vincent's hospital and had to cancel an appearance on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and a Harper's Bazaar shoot. Fischer's rep, Lewis Kay, said yesterday she's "doing much better and is resting at her hotel. Her husband [director James Gunn] flew in to be with her."

I'm just wondering how someone manages to fracture four bones in their back after slipping, not falling. Maybe Jenna's spine is made of glass? I think Jenna should take this in stride and sign up to be the new Boniva calcium supplement spokeswoman, since Sally Field's (the current spokeswoman) spine is probably made of dust, there should be an opening soon.
