Hugh Hefner Opens up about the Death of Anna Nicole

Hugh Hefner sits down at the Playboy Mansion and for the first time he opens up about the death of 1993’s Playmate of the Year, Anna Nicole Smith. He declares, “She was magic in front of the camera.” Hefner was at the mansion when he heard the news and he says that he has “a gut feeling” that Larry Birkhead is Dannielynn’s father.

In regard to her death being fueled by drug use, Hefner adds, “It was a tragedy waiting to happen.”

Hefner talks about the call he received from Smith’s sister asking about the burial plot he owns next to Marilyn Monroe. He says, “The sister asked if it was possible to be buried there, which I though was out of the blue.”

Hefner is paying tribute to Smith in the May issue of Playboy as well as on Playboy TV and on Playboy’s website. He comments, “She was a most unusual model, big in every sense of the word.”

Hefner declares, “Wherever she is, she’s in tabloid heaven!”
