Sources report that a 12-year old girl and her grandparents are suing the Chicago Board of Education after a substitute teacher showed the movie "Brokeback Mountain,"which has an R-rating. Jessica Turner is claiming psychological distress after watching the movie in her 8th grade class. The Turners are seeking $500,000 in damages!
I guess it was only a matter of time before someone pulled the sue trigger on ole' Brokeback. But c'mon, $500,000? What kind of suffering could this girl have gone through? And for that matter, why is this girl in 8th grade when she's only 12?
